keelboat docking

After sailing dinghies and catamarans all summer, I am not at all used to the momentum a keelboat has when you are trying to dock. Three docking drills last night, of which only the last one was slow enough. Docking at night though it really hard if not for any other reason that it is very difficult to guage your speed until you are near the dock, and it is hard to really get a feel for steerage as well. But this is a trick I must master, and master it I will.

I am feeling very nautical today.
